Further, Alphonsa College Thiruvambady identifies hardworking but financially struggling students and helps them through different endowments and free-ship schemes. The details follow:

Following are the main scholarships that can be availed by the students
Post Matric Scholarship Minority Community Students (I Degree & I PG)
Post-matric scholarship for minorities is provided by the Ministry of Minority Affairs (MOMA) for the upliftment of students belonging to minority communities. According to the Government of India, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Zoroastrians (Parsis) and Jains are notified as minority communities. Scholarship will be awarded to the students who have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination and the annual income of whose parents/guardians from all sources does not exceed Rs.2.00 lakh
Central Sector Scholarship On the basis of Higher Secondary Marks
Central Sector Scholarship Scheme will be awarded on the basis of the results of senior secondary exams; 82000 fresh scholarships per annum (41000 for boys and 41000 for girls) will be awarded for graduate/post graduate studies in colleges and universities. The total numbers of scholarships are divided amongst the State Education Boards based on the State’s population in the age group of 18-25 years, after segregating share of CBSE and ICSE on the basis of number of students passing out from various Boards in the country. 50 % of the scholarship is earmarked for girls. The number of scholarships allotted to a State Education Board is distributed amongst pass outs of the Science, Commerce and Humanities streams in the ratio of 3:2:1. In case of shortfall in the number of applications, the scholarship slots could be inter-changed.
Govt. of India Scholarship SC Students only
The SC students enrolled in Indian Universities/ Colleges, will be awarded scholarship to meet the requirements for full tuition fee and non-refundable charges. candidates whose annual family income is less than or equal to Rs. 2. lakh per annum are covered under ambit of the scheme. Reimbursement of tuition fee, special fee and exam fee subject to income limit.
