As part of the World Water Day celebrations at Alphonsa College, The Compulsory Social Service Forum, Waste Management Club, Water Management Club and Green Club jointly organized a event called "River Walking to the Sources".As part of the program, the river was cleaned from Koodaranji Veettipara bridge to Vazhikkadavu.Rev. Fr.Scaria Mangarayil the Manager inaugurated the event , Dr. Chacko K. V ,the Principal presided over the function Rev. Fr. Shenish Thannikkal, the Vice Principal Koodaranji Grama Panchayat President Linto Joseph, Panchayat members Jose Mon Mavara, Molly Thomas Vathalloor, Johnny Walliplakal, Faculty Co-ordinators of various clubs Mr. Alex Benny, Ms. K Dhanya, Ms. K Ambili and Ms. Sheeba Mol Joseph spoke.Student representatives Arjun Jain, Colin Johnson, Shown Thankachan, Roslyn Stanley and Alfie Maria led the programme.
